Who am I?
My name is Mette Møller and I was born in 1967. I was born and raised in Skagen with art close to my heart. I have lots of salt water in my blood. I think that's why I can't stop painting the sea and the beach.
My life was seriously turned upside down in 2016, due to the congenital chronic disease Morbus Crohn.
Since 2018 I've been painting quite a lot, yes - I actually can't help it! The sea is my favorite motif, as for me it contains the moods, emotions and colors of life and there are lots of challenges to be had. I also often think about how our ancestors looked at the same sea. Here where we live there was no land at all.
CV:
I have taken weekend painting classes, taught by Mable Rose. I have been part of the painting group Oculus.
I have been part of the art house in Ålbæk.
I got through the censored exhibition Dkc 2022, Dronninglund art museum.
I currently have my workshop at home.
From 1-4 to 22-10-2023 I exhibited at Galleri Grenen/ Grenen Art Museum, Skagen. It is a big dream that has come true, as I think my sea paintings fit in so well there. I also remember the first vernissages I went to there with my father. My father is artist Asger Pedersen, Skagen.
The plan is for me to exhibit at gallery Grenen, season 2024.
In addition to painting myself, I have a small hobby where I restore older, dusty paintings and give them new life.
It also happens that you can experience me in a theater performance.
I am married to Martin and we have 4 adult children together. We live in Skagen and the joy of living is priceless!
THANK YOU for taking your time to look at my paintings :-) !

Art must be seen and experienced!
